MONTVALE, N.J.-Geotek Communications Inc. announced its majority-owned subsidiary, Geotek Argentina S.A., was awarded a nationwide license to build a digital Frequency Hopping Multiple Access network in Argentina.
The subsidiary holds licenses covering 35 million. The company said it will first deploy the FHMA test system in Buenos Aires early next year and eventually expand to Cordoba, Mendoza and Santa Fe. Geotek’s network combines two-way radio, vehicle tracking, two-way messaging, telephone interconnect, data and business services in one workstation, the company said.
