DALLAS-PageMart Wireless Inc. introduced a new freeware program called PageLauncher, designed to work with Internet browsers to enable users to launch alphanumeric messages directly from their personal computer, local area network, or intranet.
PageLauncher allows businesses managing multiple pagers to give employees access to company customized directories, from which they can send computer-based text pages, the company said, complete with receipt confirmation.
The program can be downloaded free from PageMart’s Web site onto PCs or servers, according to PageMart.
