TORONTO-Architel Systems Corp. will license its Automatic Service Activation Program to GTE Data Services Inc. under an agreement valued at $7 million in the first 18 months.
The perpetual license will allow GTE to use ASAP for service activation and network configuration of local exchange communications service in its North American telephone operations, the company said. In addition, GTE has the option to apply the license to its wireless and broadband service offerings within the same territory, which includes the United States and British Columbia, Canada.
Under the agreement, Architel will be compensated in the form of license fees, software support and professional services fees.
