DALLAS-Sprint PCS has launched personal communications services for consumers and businesses in Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio, Texas, bringing to 40 the number of cities on the Sprint PCS network. The company and its affiliates hold licenses to offer PCS service in Houston and Corpus Christi, Texas. Construction of those networks is scheduled to begin later this year. The company already offers service in Austin, McAllen, Brownsville and Harlingen. Northern Telecom is providing the Code Division Multiple Access infrastructure equipment for the Sprint PCS network in Texas.
