GOLDEN, Colo.-Superconducting Core Technologies Inc., together with Raychem Corp., finalized a supply agreement with E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co. The three-year exclusive agreement gives SCT access to high-temperature superconducting materials.
SCT said, using the DuPont materials, it will continue to manufacture microwave devices with extremely low losses for its Reach receiver front end system. The Reach system allows cellular and personal communication services providers to enhance the coverage of base stations, thus reducing the number of stations needed.
