READYCOM DEBUTS VOICE MAIL SYSTEM

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-ReadyCom Inc. introduced its Voice Server 2000 voice message delivery system, which allows cellular providers to offer two-way wireless voice messaging services over cellular networks.

ReadyCom said the product was unveiled at the Electronic Messaging Association’s ’97 Conference and Exhibition as part of a demonstration of a new protocol, Voice Profile for Internet Mail.

VPIM capabilities will enable users to forward voice and fax messages over the Internet or corporate intranets, the company said.
