LITTLE CHUTE, Wis.-Airadigm Communications Inc. launched its Einstein personal communications services network in Appleton, Wis., and will open its first retail store for Appleton in May. The company said it is the first C-block license winner to launch service.
Airadigm said it plans to add service in Green Bay, Wis., next month and will open its second PCS store to coincide with the launch.
The Global System for Mobile communications network covers Appleton/Oshkosh, Green Bay, Marinette, Fond du Lac, Madison, Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Stevens Point, Wausau/Rhinelander, Janesville/Beloit, Eau Claire and La Crosse, Wis., and Dubuque, Waterloo and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Airadigm also said it signed roaming agreements that will allow its Einstein PCS customers to use Powertel Inc. and Aerial Communications Inc.’s networks. Powertel’s markets are centered in the Southeast and Aerial has markets in Minnesota, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Ohio and Alaska.
