SAN FRANCISCO-Hughes Network Systems Inc. completed interoperability tests with subscriber terminal suppliers for its enhanced full-rate voice coder for Interim Standard 136 Time Division Multiple Access technology.
The company is including the coder in its GMH 2000 TDMA system, which will be able to support both the new voice coder or the existing VSELP voice coder depending on the capabilities of individual cellular phones.
