ATLANTA-Preferred Networks Inc. completed the acquisition of Mercury Paging & Communications Inc. and its affiliated companies. Mercury Paging is a New York-based paging operator that provides coverage of radio common carrier 931.3125 MHz paging licenses in New Jersey, New York and Southern Connecticut.
Preferred Networks is an outsourcing services provider to the wireless industry. It operates wholesale paging networks and offers engineering and technical services as well as wireless equipment repair, sales and fulfillment.
Frontier signs IBS to five-year deal
EL DORADO HILLS, Calif.-Frontier Cellular, a joint venture of Frontier Corp. and Bell Atlantic Nynex Mobile, signed International Billing Services Inc. to a five-year contract for statement processing and production services. IBS currently provides processing services to Frontier Corp.’s local exchange companies.
“The monthly statement is one of our regular communication vehicles to our customers and we use it as a marketing and sales tool,” said Tim Dickinson, manager of corporate billing operations and consolidation for Frontier. “We view the statement as a vital element of customer service.”
