DALLAS-PrimeCo Personal Communications L.P. introduced its text messaging service and PrimeCo Lite Messaging software. The service allows subscribers to receive on their PrimeCo phone short text messages sent by a personal computer.
“The text messaging service offers an additional option to those customers who need to receive messages in an unobtrusive way or who need to receive information that must be precise, like phone numbers, flight information, account numbers and names,” said Karen Little, PrimeCo’s vice president of marketing and sales.
When a new message is received, the handset will beep, a status light will blink and an icon will appear on the display. To retrieve messages, customers press one button on the handset. Messages are stored for up to three days when the phone is off or out of the service are.
