COMTEC TO ACQUIRE SIX SMR COMPANIES

AURORA, Colo.-ComTec International announced it has signed letters of intent to acquire six operating specialized mobile radio companies.

The systems, which represent 178 constructed and operating SMR channels, are generating approximately $3.8 million in annual revenues and have total assets of approximately $6.3 million, the company said. The names and geographical footprints of the companies will be announced when the deals are finalized.

“ComTec will take advantage of economies of scale by integrating new acquisitions with its existing footprint,” said Donald Mack, president and chief executive officer of ComTec. “The core of the company’s business activity in the SMR sector is to acquire management agreements and operating companies and then merge channels with licenses to obtain a greater POP base and national coverage.”

ComTec International is a development stage company formed to acquire, develop and market communication technologies and wireless services in the SMR, satellite uplinking and other related communications arenas.
