The companies listed below represent the six largest global infrastructure vendors for CDMA as of the first quarter of 2008.
Rankings were provided by research firm Dell’Oro Group and include only CDMA vendors.
Alcatel-Lucent continued to dominate the CDMA market, although the company’s market share slid from nearly 50% during the second quarter last year to 40% during this year’s second quarter.
Nortel Networks showed strong market share gains in CDMA, with its catch growing to 33% from 26% last year. Motorola held the third-place spot, thought its percentage also dipped.
Chinese vendors Huawei and ZTE hold smaller percentages of the CDMA market but they each more than doubled their market share year over year.
