DFW BUYS CENTERS FROM MOTOR OLA NSD

DALLAS-DFW Communications announced it has purchased Motorola Inc.’s four Dallas/Fort Worth-based two-way radio service centers.

The purchase is a result of Motorola’s 1995 restructuring of its National Service Division, which implemented a new service strategy and consolidated all product repair services from company-owned service centers into one major Radio Support Center subscriber depot in Rockford, Ill.

DFW said it is now a full line independent product dealer/servicer and sole authorized Motorola service/warranty repair station. The company said it plans to offer new products and services, including two-way paging products and rental services.
