MobileMedia Corp.’s board of directors has appointed Michael K. Lorelli chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors. Previously, he was president of the Americas Division of Tambrands Inc. since September 1994. Prior to that, he spent nine years at PepsiCo as vice president of marketing for Pepsi-Cola North America and as president of Pepsi-Cola East. The board of directors is continuing to search for senior operations management.

E. Lee Kaywork has been named president and chief operating officer of Personal Technology Services, a wireless telecommunications company that plans to bid in the upcoming 10 MHz F-block personal communications services auctions conducted by the Federal Communications Commission. Kaywork most recently served as president and COO of Dial Call Inc., an enhanced specialized mobile radio company that was recently acquired by Nextel Communications Inc. At Dial Call, Kaywork led the launch of an ESMR business in six markets in the Southeast United States. His responsibilities included managing a $500 million capital program, developing and implementing marketing and distribution strategies, back room support and billing.

Subscriber Computing Inc. has named Teresa Rizzo vice president of client services. Rizzo will be responsible for a wide variety of Information Systems, client support, training and documentation and facilities management functions. Prior to joining SCI, Rizzo was director of Information Systems at AFSA Data Corp., where she oversaw computer operations, system networking and QA testing.

Geotek Communications Inc. appointed Tamir Friedrich general manager of Israeli operations. He joined the company in August 1993 as vice president of engineering, where he managed a number of engineering and terminal projects. Friedrich will lead Geotek’s research and development operations in Haifa and Tel Aviv.

Thomas Humphries has been named vice president of marketing responsible for managing mobile data and terminal development and marketing. He joined Geotek in January 1995 as vice president of product development and has managed the company’s mobile data and terminal development activities and mobile data subsidiaries GMSI Inc. and MIS Ltd. Prior to joining Geotek, Humphries was vice president of product marketing for Telxon Corp.

Jan Klein is now vice president and chief financial officer of Geotek. Prior to joining the company, he was a securities analyst for Dean Witter, specializing in wireless communications.

Joel Grimes has joined Preferred Networks Inc. as director of product development. He will be responsible for developing paging services that are complementary to other telecommunications services.
