TAMPA, Fla.-GTE Telecommunication Services announced the commercial availability of ChurnManager following a successful beta test with GTE Mobilnet Inc.
The system gathers information on a daily basis from a database of marketing, billing, customer service and switches, said GTE. ChurnManager applies this information to gain insight into customer use, segmenting the customer base and providing data on each customer’s level of satisfaction, said the company. GTE said the system automatically provides customer service representatives every day with a list of subscribers likely to churn.
“Churn costs carriers hundreds of millions of dollars a year in unrealized revenue and customer replacement acquisition cost,” said Joy Nemitz, GTE’s assistant vice president-general manager.
