MONTREAL-Transys Networks Inc. said it has developed a fax solution that lets mobile and remote workers send faxes through satellite networks. The product, Mobilis, consists of a store-and-forward fax switch and mobile fax interface units that work with most standard G3 fax machines or personal computers equipped with Microsoft Windows 3.1 fax applications.
The fax switch interconnects with the satellite operator’s earth station, while the mobile fax interface units are connected to mobile satellite transceivers.
