PRIMECO ANNOUNCES FIRST CALL OVER ITS PCS NETWORK

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.-PrimeCo Personal Communications L.P., the wireless partnership of AirTouch Communications Inc., Bell Atlantic Corp., Nynex Corp. and U S West Inc., initiated the first digital wireless phone call in Milwaukee over its newly installed personal communications services network. Using Code Division Multiple Access technology, PrimeCo placed the call with equipment supplied by Motorola Inc.’s Cellular Infrastructure Group. The service will be available to Milwaukee customers in the latter half of 1996, the company said.
