RESTON, Va.-American Mobile Satellite Corp. signed a contract for Tessco Technologies Inc. to act as the exclusive equipment sales agent for AMSC’s Skycell satellite telephone service.
AMSC said Tessco will sell and facilitate the shipment of mobile satellite telephones for land mobile, maritime and fixed site applications to dealers and large end users. It also will manage the sale of transportable phones to dealers and will include satellite phones and accessories in its catalogs as well as provide supplemental technical bulletins to dealers.
“Tessco’s high-quality standards and innovative approach to the sale of mobile satellite phones will greatly enhance the quality of Skycell service to our dealers and customers,” said Christopher McCleary, vice president and general manager for satellite telephone service at AMSC.
