MONTVALE, N.J.-Geotek Communications Inc. said it has activated its third digital communications network in the United States. The system will serve the Boston metropolitan area. Commercial service is expected to begin the first quarter of next year.
The announcement follows activation of networks in Baltimore/Washington, D.C., and the Philadelphia/Delaware Valley region. Geotek networks are based on the company’s digital Frequency Hopping Multiple Access technology.
