MONTVALE, N.J.-Geotek Communications Inc. has entered into an agreement with Kenwood Corp. of Japan to develop and manufacture second-generation mobile subscriber units for Geotek’s U.S. digital voice and data network. The companies also will enter into a related marketing agreement, Geotek said.
“Kenwood has a sterling reputation in developing two-way radio technology, and we expect they will produce an advanced, cost-effective mobile radio,” said George Calhoun, president of Geotek’s wireless technologies division.
