Venture capital financing wrap-up: Rosum and TruPhone

The following list includes venture capital and other investments into wireless companies announced during the past week. The value of the investment is included when available.

Rosum: Rosum Corp. said it raised $15 million in new financing from existing investors Charles River Ventures, Allegis Capital, Steamboat Ventures and KTB Ventures and new investor TruePosition Inc. Rosum uses unmodified TV signals to power location and timing solutions.

:TruPhone: Private investors led a $32.7 million Series B round of funding into mobile Internet network operator TruPhone. Existing investors Burda Digital Ventures, Eden Ventures, Independent News & Media and Wellington Partners also participated. The company said it will use the funding to continue development of a global SIM card that offers low traditional call charges and free or low-cost Internet calls.
