Chunghwa Telecom to Launch Hami Digital Music Store

Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd., a leading telecom operator in Taiwan, planned to launch Hami digital music store in the first half of 2011 to provide legal music downloading channel for mobile phone users.

For the tide of intelligent mobile phones last year, the telecom operator has launched a Hami value-added service platform, providing film information and LBS information inquiries services, and Hami bookstore and Hami Apps software store for the needs of e-book and mobile phone application procedure.

Currently, Chunghwa Telecom mobile phone value-added service platform now has provided music service to let mobile phone users download copyrighted MP3 music or pay higher fees in downloading DRM Free music for computers and mobile phones.

The future Hami music store service is expected to launch copyrighted music downloading, and the music only is available to mobile phones. The price ranges from about NTW 15 a song to NWT 25 a song.
