PapayaMobile, a leading mobile social platform for Android, today announced that LG will preinstall Papaya applications into LG Android phones shipping in China beginning January 2011. This comes on the heels of Papaya recently releasing China-specific versions of its SDK to provide developers specific access to Papaya end users, game localization services and features such as language options.
In partnering with LG, a leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, mobile communications and home appliances, and releasing its China SDK package, PapayaMobile continues to expand its global reach to benefit Android developers. With an already existing U.S. and European user base of 8 million, PapayaMobile expects its user base to grow by 32 million in China alone over the next two years. Being a China-based company, Papaya is one of the few players in the Android ecosystem that can provide developers deep expertise on how to properly address emerging markets, such as China, and offer global reach via its existing network.
