FOSTER CITY, Calif.-Equinix Inc., which provides network-neutral data centers and Internet exchange services, signed an agreement allowing Hawaiian operator Mobi PCS to establish operations within Equinix’s Honolulu Internet Business Exchange.
The deployment will serve as Mobi PCS’ main point of presence and switching center for all customer calls serviced by the company’s wireless network.
Mobi PCS plans to launch service early next year with unlimited local and long-distance calls for less than $50 per month.
