LEIPZIG, Germany-A group of four companies deployed four 2.2-meter high-illuminated columns at this week’s Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany. The technology will beam free mobile content to Bluetooth-enabled devices in the show area.
The companies participating in the Beamzone demonstration are Blue Cell Networks GmbH, E-Plus, July Systems Inc. and THQ Wireless. Free mobile content will be sponsored by E-Plus and provided by THQ Wireless, and free trial games will be offered using July’s smart mobile retailing solution. Blue Cell Networks provided the Bluetooth distribution solution.
