Samsung was playing it large at CommunicAsia this year, showing off a multitude of shiny new handsets at its huge booth in the Singapore expo center.
Catching up with the firm, RCR got its hands on two of the more popular devices, the Android sporting Galaxy S and its Bada brother, Samsung Wave.
The Galaxy S is already proving so popular that Singaporean telco SingTel admitted to not being able to keep up with demand on its pre-order website when the phone was launched last month.
And with its Super AMOLED screen, five megapixel camera, 720P HD video, GPS and 1GHz processor, DLNA-certified Wi-Fi and 8GB of storage who can blame the hungry hordes for wanting to get their grubby paws on it?
Samsung itself reckons it will be able to shift around one million of the devices globally every month, which will make it the bestselling Android phone to date.
The less popular, but still covetable Samsung Wave, sporting the firm’s own Bada operating system comes with a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED display (480 x 800 pixels), 1GHz Samsung processor, five megapixel camera with autofocus, flash and can also take HD video. It boasts a 3.5mm headset jack and a whopping 32GB of optional capacity with a microSD card, as well as the standard Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi.
