ISLAMABAD, Pakistan-Hasan Associates Ltd., a Pakistani telecommunications company, and Hyundai/Dacom, a consortium in Korea formed between Hyundai Electronics Industries Co. Ltd., Dacom Corp. and Hyundai Corp., have formed a new company called Pak Globalstar Ltd., Globalstar L.P. announced.
The new company will offer Globalstar worldwide satellite-based digital telephone service in Pakistan, Globalstar said.
Globalstar is a low-earth satellite-based telecommunications system that offers low-cost global telephony and other telecommunications services to areas underserved or not served by existing wireline and cellular telecommunications systems, Globalstar said.
