Cisco picks ORYX for mobile sales

WILMINGTON, Mass.-Cisco Systems Inc. selected Priority Call Management Inc.’s ORYX platform for communications with its mobile sales force. Cisco will deploy ORYX to 1,000 staff members in the first quarter of 1997.

ORYX is an intelligent digital switching platform, which gives users access to voice and fax communications as well as voice dialing, pre-paid and calling card calls, international calling and integrated messaging access.

“Having Cisco adopt ORYX as a solution for its sales and technical service groups is a great example of the challenges companies face in a virtual office environment,” said Andrew Ory, Priority’s president. “With ORYX, Cisco customers can now dial a single number to reach the company’s sales and technical support professionals, whenever, wherever, they wish.”
