JARKARTA, Indonesia-Lucent Technologies Inc. has signed a supply contract with PT Komunikasi Selular Indonesia. The agreement is valued at $105 million and is Lucent’s first Code Division Multiple Access contract in Indonesia.
Lucent will overlay Komselindo’s existing Advanced Mobile Phone Service network with CDMA. The contract includes more than 300 base stations; 13-kilobit vocoder capability will be installed.
