CAMBRIDGE, England-Simoco International Ltd. will supply radio communications equipment to the 1997 Qantas Australian Grand Prix.
The company will provide a radio communications trunking system, which will provide both telephone access and point-to-point communications. The system will incorporate more than 800 portable radios for use by security and event staff.
“The Qantas Australian Grand Prix will host over 400,000 people over the four day event, which clearly requires considerable management,” said Peter Bentley, managing director of Simoco Pacific. “Radio communications helps to coordinate the various activities and provides a vital safety element.”
