SUNNYVALE, Calif.-Paging Network Inc. selected Digital Link as its wide area network access vendor to supply Simple Network Management Protocol products for the backbone network of PageNet’s VoiceNow paging service.
“Digital Link’s SNMP-managed products combined with its in-band access capabilities provide PageNet with extremely reliable network access and visibility,” said William Scott, senior vice president of systems and technology at PageNet.
“VoiceNow is an important part of our company’s future as we continue to evolve to the latest technologies,” he added. “The partnership with Digital Link will aid us as our network changes over time while helping us drive down operating costs so we can give our customers more for their money.”
VoiceNow is operational in Atlanta, Dallas, Northern California and Nevada. The networks currently use WAN access equipment from Digital Link including Solo T1 and Solo 56/64 DSU/CSUs and Ensemble WAN Access Systems.
