FORT WORTH, Texas-Motorola Inc.’s Messaging Systems Products Group announced Korea-based Mirae Communications Co. Ltd. has been licensed to make FLEX pagers. The consumer electronics manufacturer plans to introduce a FLEX-based one-line, one-way numeric pager by March and an alphanumeric device by August.
The Korean government has made FLEX the country’s national standard, so FLEX products are in great demand, the company said. Mirae Communications is the sister company of Hankook Core Corp., a leading Southeast Asian import/export motor core manufacturer in Korea.
