SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.-In-Stat, a market research company serving the semiconductor and communications market, predicts that revenues from paging integrated circuits will peak at $511.3 million in 2000 and begin falling annually in 2001.
The firm’s recent report, “Paging IC Market Analysis,” also predicts subscriber growth will come mostly from two-way paging applications, while one-way paging will remain the largest installed base.
Further, alternative paging applications, including palmtop computer paging, are expected to claim 8 percent of the market by 2001, according to the report.
