BELLEVUE, Wash.-Comcast Cellular Communications will use Metapath Software Corp.’s Ceos software for real-time call detail record collection and subscriber provisioning management.
Ceos processes and manages millions of call detail records per hour as individual transactions, and the records can be duplicated, split, filtered and routed to multiple destinations such as billing, fraud or warehouse applications. The software system will give Comcast immediate access to telecommunications operational data and allow it to rapidly integrate new network elements and applications, Metapath said.
Subscriber provisioning features include several methods for processing transactions, change order scheduling and transaction prioritization. Other functions include transaction re-try and roll-back, transaction auditing and provisioning-specific monitoring and query functions.
“A simplified network with real-time data access not only helps us reduce our costs, but also increases revenues,” said Ann Breen, vice president of customer systems and technology for Comcast. “Ceos’ real-time subscriber provisioning capabilities allow us to activate new services and customers more quickly and accurately.”
