RICHMOND, England-Powertel Inc. plans to use new additions to the ADC Metrica family of network performance management tools for its personal communications services network, ADC Metrica announced.
The PCS carrier plans to use Metrica/GDS to monitor cell, route and switch performance, and Metrica/Web to download reports and images from Metrica/NPR and integrate them into desktop applications.
ADC Metrica said this will allow both engineering and non-engineering staff to see how the network is performing, “and how that affects everything from customer satisfaction to marketing plans,” added Gowton Achaibar, vice president of network engineering for Powertel.
