VERNON HILLS, Ill.-Telular Corp. signed an agreement to supply Qualcomm Inc. with its patented interface card for Qualcomm’s fixed wireless terminals.
Telular’s Borscht Daughter Card will enable Qualcomm’s fixed wireless users to access 800 MHz and 1900 MHz Code Division Multiple Access networks from a standard telephone equipped with an RJ11 jack. Using Telular’s card, these units will be able to duplicate all the standard wired network features such as call waiting, call forwarding, caller ID and three-way calling, said Telular.
The announcement follows a recent contract with Ericsson Radio Systems AB to license Telular’s patent portfolio of wireline-to-wireless interface technologies.
