ARLINGTON, Va.-The Telecommunications Industry Association early this year published a new interim standard that details the fundamental capabilities for interfacing a personal communications switching center with one or more radio systems.
Called the “SS7 (Signaling System 7) Based A-Interface,” the TIA/EIA/IS-651-A standard will enable different manufacturers to provide interconnecting equipment that will be compatible with each other yet still be able to evolve separately. It is a revision of standard TIA/EIA/IS-651.
