AUTHENTIX NETWORK INC.
William W. Erdman was named president and chief executive officer of Authentix Network Inc., a company offering enhanced roaming solutions to wireless service providers. Erdman was one of the founding members and the first chairman of the Cellular Radio Communications Association, which preceded the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association. He also has served on CTIA’s board of directors. Erdman founded and led wireless start-up companies, including Maxcell Telecom Plus, Celltech Inc. and InterDigital Communications Corp. As president and CEO of Authentix, Erdman will be responsible for expanding the focus of the company’s anti-fraud technology, Roamer Verification Reinstatement.
CENTURION INTERNATIONAL
Centurion International Inc. hired Vincent D. Abrams to fill the newly created position of product manager. In his new position, Abrams will integrate the company’s sales, marketing and engineering activities. He will participate in identifying industry trends and recommending strategic direction for Centurion products.
TELECOM. TECHNIQUES
Telecommunications Techniques Corp., a Dynatech company, appointed John D’Anna vice president of U.S. sales and customer service. D’Anna previously was vice president of TTC’s Eastern Sales Operation. In his eight years with TTC, D’Anna has served as district manager, regional manager, director and vice president within TTC’s Eastern Sales Operation. Prior to joining TTC he was a field sales representative for Hewlett-Packard Co.

Nettech Systems Inc. hired Greg Goodall as senior vice president of sales and Steven Lawrence as a senior account manager. Goodall joins Nettech from NumerX International. In his new position he will be responsible for developing the company’s strategic relationships and managing the company’s international and domestic sales. Prior to NumerX, Goodall was chief executive officer of VisiSoft Inc. Lawrence, who has held sales positions with Mobile Data Solutions Inc. and Motorola Inc., will be responsible for managing relationships with hardware manufacturers and network providers, as well as developing end-user business in the utility industry.
ARRAYCOMM INC.
ArrayComm Inc. promoted Craig Barratt to the newly established position of executive vice president, and David Parish to vice president of engineering. As executive vice president, Barratt will be responsible for supporting the entire product-development, production and customer-deliver processes within the company. Supporting the vice presidents of the engineering and operations groups, he will oversee a staff of more than 100 people. Barratt was previously the vice president of engineering.
Filling Barratt’s former position, Parish will assume full responsibility for supporting all of ArrayComm’s engineering and product development activities. He was previously the director of product development. Before joining ArrayComm in 1993, Parish was a systems engineering manager for Park Scientific Instruments. Prior to that, he held positions of increasing responsibility, from design engineer to principal scientist and software group manager, for Resonex Inc.Jeffery C. Locke was appointed senior vice president of marketing for Rogers Cantel Inc., effective April 6. He will be responsible for all areas of marketing including product strategy and development, pricing, brand, national advertising, market research, roaming, marketing communications and corporate communications. Locke most recently was general manager of Sprint Spectrum L.P.’s New York market. Before joining Sprint PCS, Locke was vice president of consumer services for Ameritech Corp. in Chicago. He also served as vice president and general manager at Ameritech Cellular-Illinois from 1992 to 1995.

Brightpoint Inc. appointed Anders Torstensson president of Brightpoint Europe, effective May 1. Torstensson had worked for Ericsson since 1980, and was executive vice president and general manager of the Mobile Phones and Terminals Division of Ericsson Inc. since 1993. Torstensson’s “industry leadership and management skills will allow us to accelerate our plans in the rapidly growing European wireless market,” said Brightpoint President J. Mark Howell.

Harry R. Colson joined Mills Communications Inc. as an account executive serving southern and western Baltimore County, including the city of Baltimore, as well as the Anne Arundel and Howard Counties of Maryland. Colson will be responsible for marketing the products and services of the company’s wireless radio division.
XYPOINT CORP.
Xypoint Corp., a wireless location-related information services provider, appointed Gregg Blodgett vice president and chief financial officer. He will be responsible for accounting, administration, human resources, risk management and the treasury functions at Xypoint. Blodgett, a certified public accountant, has more than 20 years experience in the financial industry. Most recently he was CFO at Phamis Inc., a Seattle-based health care information systems company, where he guided the company in its 1994 initial public offering. Prior to that, Blodgett was CFO at Computeach, an educational software developer.
PRICE COMMUNICATIONS
Price Communications Wireless Inc. promoted Jeffrey L. Green to vice president of finance and chief financial officer. Green succeeds M. Wayne Wisehart, who was recently promoted to president and chief executive officer. Green has been with Price and its predecessor, Palmer Communications, since 1985, serving most recently as the director of corporate planning. Green, a certified public accountant, has been involved in strategic planning, investor relations and company acquisitions at Price. Prior to joining Price, Green spent five years with Forsch/Evanite Fiber Corp. and six years at Arthur Andersen & Co.
Price also appointed Maria Henderson as the first MSA manager covering the 340,000-POP Montgomery MSA and the three counties within the license area. Henderson, who has been with Price since 1988, holding positions of increasing responsibility in customer service, sales and inventory management, now assumes responsibility for one of Price’s largest markets.

Tim Callard is the new manager of Motorola Inc.’s Corporate Investor Relations Department. Callard, a certified public accountant, has held financial management positions in a number of Motorola businesses during his 13 years with the company.
DIGITAL TRANSMISSION
Robert L. Sutton joined the senior management team of Digital Transmission Systems Inc. as chief financial officer and vice president of finance and administration. Sutton, a certified public accountant, will use his 20 years of auditing and financial management experience to oversee all the financial and administrative operations of Digital Transmission. Sutton most recently worked for Verifone, and served as an audit manager for Deloitte and Touche prior to that.
AMERICOM
Americom promoted Glenn Lesley to the position of chief operating officer for its Handset Processing Centers, and named Brad Hendrick director of systems and technologies of the centers. Lesley’s new responsibilities will include operations and oversight of several handset centers, which repair and refurbish wireless products nationwide. Lesley previously was the director of operations for several Americom markets providing technical support to wireless carriers. Hendrick’s new responsibilities will include linking the sales and operations functions for the Handset Processing Centers and overseeing all handset terminal technology and information technology systems required to run the centers. Prior to joining Americom, Hendrick was the director of the Outsourcing Division for Nokia Mobile Phones Inc.

April 1. Ballard will be responsible for the financial performance and all sales and marketing activities of both markets. Ballard will be based in Kansas City, Mo. Ballard’s career in wireless began in 1989 with McCaw/Cellular One in Kansas City. During his tenure at McCaw he was part of a team responsible for launching Smartone, an international joint cellular venture in Hong Kong.
QUALCOMM INC.
Qualcomm Inc. promoted Phil White to senior vice president of its OmniTracs Division. White will assume leadership of OmniTracs while continuing in his position as general manager of the division. White replaces John Sarto who has left the company to pursue another career opportunity. Since joining the OmniTracs Division in 1987, White has served as division controller, vice president of finance, vice president and general manager of OmniTracs international business and most recently, vice president and general manager of the OmniTracs Division. Prior to joining Qualcomm, White held various finance management positions at M/A-Com Linkabit in San Diego.
