WOOD DALE, Ill.-Ericsson Inc. and Rockwell Electronic Commerce said they plan to form an alliance to cooperate in international marketing, distribution and integration development activities that will position both companies for rapid growth and increased market share.
“The more we explored the opportunity of expanding our relationship, the more sense it made,” said Lars Svensson, general manager of Ericsson’s Enterprise Systems unit. “Both companies have been focused on repositioning themselves to accelerate growth in the customer interaction marketplace.”
Proposed joint efforts include integrating the Rockwell Spectrum automatic call distributor with the Ericsson MD110 line of private branch exchange solutions for global call centers, and expanding wireless technology into those call centers.
