ALEXANDRIA, Minn.-Rural Cellular Corp. announced it received regulatory approvals for and
completed the acquisition of RGI Group Inc./ Glacial Lakes Cellular 2000 for $11.9 million.
The cellular properties
acquired from RGI Group Inc. will operate as part of the RCC-Midwest business unit, with offices and a retail store
remaining in Watertown, S.D., said RCC.
The eight newly acquired counties located in northeastern South Dakota
encompass about 69,000 people and serve more than 7,000 cellular customers.
