SUNNYVALE, Calif.-General Magic Inc. introduced myTalk, a free ad-supported Internet service allowing users to manage their e-mail using the phone and spoken word commands.
The company said it intends to upgrade myTalk later this month so users with e-mail pagers may receive an alert when e-mail from a specific person or with a specific topic is received. By the third quarter, General Magic said it hopes to extend the alert feature so it calls users when specified messages are received.
