DALLAS-Samsung Telecommunications America Inc. and AirTouch Communications Inc. completed a master purchase agreement for Samsung’s open interface Code Division Multiple Access infrastructure equipment, said Samsung.
AirTouch plans to install Samsung’s pico base transceiver station and base station controller. The CDMA system is designed to support cdmaOne, Interim Standard-634/TSB 80.0 and CDG IOS version 2 standards, said the company.
AirTouch said it plans to have the first systems deployed this year.
