PALO ALTO, Calif.-Corsair Communications Inc. announced the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded Corsair a patent for technology relating to PhonePrint, the company’s cellular fraud prevention product.
PhonePrint uses a system of hardware and software to identify, validate and disconnect cloned cellular phones before charges can be incurred, said Corsair.
The patent brings to four the number patents awarded to the company.
