NEW ORLEANS-Diversinet Corp., a developer of security products based on public-key technology for wireless and wireline electronic-commerce applications, and Saraide signed an agreement to provide security software solutions for Global System for Mobile communications phones, pagers and other mobile devices.
Saraide works with wireless carriers and Internet content providers to deliver data and information services to the mobile market.
“By incorporating security software into GSM phone smart cards, wireless operators will be able to offer a wealth of new services-such as banking, stock trading, medical data and corporate information-with the assurance that sensitive data is secure,” said Nagy Moustafa, president and chief executive officer of Diversinet.
