ATLANTA-The Wireless Application Protocol Forum announced the appointment of Scott Goldman to the newly created position of chief executive officer.
Goldman will work with the WAP Forum board of directors to further enhancements to the WAP specification, evangelize the technology, recruit new members and coordinate the forum’s efforts.

Perhaps most notable, Goldman previously led the Goldman Group consulting company. He is founder and former CEO of BuyWireless.com, an online shopping service featuring wireless devices and accessories, and also created WirelessNOW, an e-mail information service.
