WOBURN, Mass.-Boston Communications Group Inc. announced it doubled its prepaid wireless subscriber base, reaching 2 million subscribers, in less than 12 months.
The company attributed the increase to its expanded nationwide roaming network, real-time rating capabilities and the increasing commitment to prepaid programs from wireless carrier customers.
“As carriers continue to invest in this product segment and aggressively market to new audiences, we can only anticipate greater milestones in the near future,” said E.Y. Snowden, president and chief executive officer of Boston Communications.
“There’s no question that renewing contracts with prominent carriers such as Bell Atlantic Mobile and Rogers AT&T Wireless adds to the momentum.
“New customers like Cincinnati Bell Wireless, who launched an aggressive marketing campaign targeted at the youth segment, have advanced the prepaid market as well.”
