NEW ORLEANS-Palm Inc., a 3Com company, said it plans to develop a solution with iPlanet E-Commerce Solutions, part of the Sun-Netscape Alliance, to provide wireless access to enterprise applications using Palm operating system handsets.
The agreement calls for iPlanet to add support for Palm’s Web clipping architecture and Palm OS handhelds to its iPlanet Wireless Server software, allowing users to access enterprise data from the Palm.Net wireless service.
