Powertel launches newbranding campaign

WEST POINT, Ga.-Powertel Inc., a wireless personal communications services provider in the southeastern United States, will employ the branding slogan “We’re On That” to describe an overall service ethic the company says transcends offers, individual products and promotions.

Powertel intends to use commercials, print ads and billboards featuring enthusiastic spokespeople going to extremes to illustrate the point that the company is working to meet the customer’s needs.

“As our value propositions are communicated to consumers through this campaign in unique ways, our message continues to be that Powertel’s mission is to provide wireless services on the consumer’s terms,” explained Mike Bashaw, vice president of marketing and product development for Powertel. “Our research tells us that people are frustrated by the limitations of other wireless providers in the marketplace and are often confused about wireless in general. We want these spots to speak to those customers.”
