ARLINGTON, Va.-TeleCorp PCS Inc. has purchased the TrunkMeter product form Invertix Corp. to streamline its operations and reduce interconnect costs.
According to TeleCorp, TrunkMeter will enable its operations staff to monitor the use of costly telecommunications trunks, which connect its mobile switching centers to destinations outside the TeleCorp network.
“TrunkMeter gives our operations engineers and technicians a virtual real time view of network loading and performance,” said David Knutson, vice president for engineering and operations for TeleCorp. “Because TrunkMeter uses an Internet browser, our engineers across the country can easily and rapidly find and correct network inefficiencies.”
