The members of Standards Committee T1, a telecommunications network standards development organization sponsored by the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions, chose leaders for its full committee and six technical subcommittees at the group’s national meeting. E. Raymond Hapeman, of Telcordia Technologies Inc., and Wayne Zeuch, of Lucent Technologies Inc., were elected Committee T1 chair and vice chair, respectively. Hapeman previously was vice chair, while Zeuch was chair of technical subcommittee T1S1. Neal Seitz, of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, was re-elected to a two-year term as chair of Performance and Signal Processing. Eric Hauch, of the State of Tennessee Office of Telecommunications, was re-elected to a two-year term as vice chair of PSP. Edward Eckert, of Nortel Networks, was re-elected to a two-year term as chair of Interfaces, Power and Protection for Networks. John Roquet was elected to his first two-year term as vice chair of IPPN. Internetwork Operations, Administration, Maintenance and Provisioning welcomed Mike Fargano, of U S West Inc., as chair and Jim Stanco, of Siemens Information and Communications Networks Inc., as vice chair. Both were elected to their first two-year terms. Wireless/Mobile Services and Systems re-elected Asok Chatterjee, of Ericsson, as chair, and welcomed Mark Younge, of Omnipoint Communications, to his first term as vice chair. Services, Architecture and Signaling saw Jay Hilton, of Telcordia Technologies, elected chair, and Greg Ratta, of Lucent Technologies, elected to vice chair. Digital Hierachy and Synchronization elected Al White, of Sprint Long Distance Division, chair and Ken Biholar, of Alcatel USA Inc., vice chair.
eYak
Reed Hundt was appointed to eYak Inc.’s strategic advisory board to provide counsel to the board of directors and executive management on business and product strategies. Hundt currently provides consulting and investment advice on telecommunications as a principal of Charles Ross Partners L.L.C. Hundt was chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from 1993 to 1997.
Adicom
Luke Mitchell was named managing director of Adicom Wireless Inc.’s new Asian headquarters in Hong Kong. Mitchell will develop and establish new key markets in North and Southeast Asia and Australia. Mitchell goes to Adicom from Kronh Communications Ltd., where he served as managing director in Asia.
Integrated Data Communications
Stacey Black was named senior vice president of business development for Integrated Data Communications. In his new position, Black will supervise IDC’s business development team. Black joins IDC from Siemens Information & Communications Products, where he was vice president of marketing and strategic business development.
Invertix
Mohammad Zaman has joined Invertix Corp. as director of business development and will be based out of the company’s new West Coast offices in San Diego. Prior to joining Invertix, Zaman served as sales and marketing manager for NeoPoint Inc. and was responsible for wireless voice/data solutions developed around Internet-ready, Wireless Application Protocol-enabled smart phones.

Tibor Kalnoki-kis was appointed vice president of research and development by enrev Corp. Kalnoki-kis previously was vice president and chief technical officer of Valence Technology Inc., where he led a corporate restructuring to better position the company’s lithium ion battery system in the marketplace.
Partner Communications
Amnon Harary was appointed chief executive officer of Partner Communications Co. Ltd.’s new subsidiary that will develop advanced wireless applications for implementation on Global System for Mobile communications networks worldwide. Harary previously was general manager of Alcatel Israel and was responsible for all of Alcatel activities in Israel. Harary also was awarded the “Israel Defense Award” for extraordinary contribution in development of a wireless application system for the Israeli Defense Forces.
Daniels & Associates
Greg Ainsworth was appointed to group leader of the New York-based Investment Banking Group at Daniels & Associates. Ainsworth previously was a mergers and acquisitions specialist in the Cable Television Group at Daniels & Associates, completing more than 100 cable transactions with an aggregate value of more than $12 billion. In addition to transaction responsibilities, Ainsworth recently took over management of the company’s New York office. Daniels & Associates also promoted David Rhodes to executive vice president. Rhodes will provide M&A and corporate finance and advisory services to clients across the United States. Rhodes has been with the company since 1989 and has more than eight years of financial and general management experience in the cable television and communications industries. Prior to joining Daniels, Rhodes was vice president of finance for Jones Spacelink Ltd., a cable television company, where he was responsible for all financial, mergers and acquisitions, and certain general-management functions.
Zeus Wireless
Zeus Wireless Inc., a supplier of wireless data connectivity solutions, announced the addition of Frank Wiley as vice president of sales and Mike Deegan as vice president of business development. Regional sales managers will report to Wiley. Prior to joining Zeus, Wiley was director of original equipment manufacturer sales for Rockwell Automation. Prior to his recent promotion, Deegan was responsible first for product marketing and then for sales management at Zeus. Reporting to Deegan will be five new business development managers, each focused on specific vertical market: vending, automation ID/bar code, point of sale, energy and controls, and industrial automation. John Burns, Industrial Automation Business Development manager, has spent the last 20 years involved with industrial automation products and companies. Alan Roberts, Point of Sales Business Development manager, ran operations and product development at providers of POS and EFT products before joining Zeus. Robin Shaffer, Energy & Controls Business Development manager, held a variety of management positions during 10 years with Johnson Controls Inc. prior to working at Zeus. Percy Williams, Vending Business Development manager, was previously senior operational, sales and marketing manager at Vendo Co. Bob Wolkowicz, Automation ID/Bar Code Business Development manager, spent the last 10 years contracting with a number of companies to help them implement wireless technology for retail and distribution center environments.
